Compared with traditional rolled profiles (angle steel, I-beam, channel steel), its own cross-section performance is excellent, and the economic benefit is remarkable. The consumption of these economic profiles is increasing year by year, while the cross-section characteristics of hot-rolled steel such as angle steel have no obvious advantages and the price is higher, when the specification is selected slightly For a long time, there is no guarantee of supply. In this case, it is necessary to discuss the application of cold-formed steel in transmission tower. In 2009, Taian Kono Steel Co., Ltd. cooperated with the State Grid to jointly develop weather resistant cold-formed steel for transmission tower, which has been applied to transmission line engineering in 2011. The application of weather resistant cold-formed steel in transmission line tower is the first time, and there are many uncertain factors in the design. In order to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the project, the State Grid has carried out the true type test on Xiamen Wulu Neigong 220kV transmission line tower, and selected two weather resistant cold-formed angle steel transmission towers to be applied in the project. Through the design load test of 9 working conditions, the results are satisfactory The predicted results provide technical support for the popularization and application of weathering steel in transmission towers in China.
